Ernest Evans, who is known by his stage name Chubby Checker is an American singer/songwriter who is known as the lead man of the musical group Chubby Checker and the Fat Boys. He was born on the 3rd of October, 1941 and in 2015 his age is 74 years old. He was born in Spring Gulley, South Carolina, United States of America but was raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as one of the three sons of father Raymond Evans and mother Eartle Evans. He went to study at a local school and found out his interest as well as talent in music since then. He, along with his friends formed a small group that’d sing songs in school and street corners and also were allowed to perform in some local shows. After he completed his school, he was enrolled in Settlement Music School where he took piano lessons.
