A multi-award winning English actress, comedian and writer Bridget Christie was born on 1971 as Bridget Louise Christie. She was born as youngest of nine children to Irish parents with Irish ethnicity. Grown with eight siblings, Bridget Christie must have enjoyed her childhood days. Comic skills in her were seen at very age when she used to perform in front of her friends and family. Bridget also had discovered her interest in acting when she attended St Peter's Roman Catholic High School.
At the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in Wandsworth, London, Bridget won a three year scholarship in the year 1994 to study Drama. She then worked day and night to polish her skills and make her way to the entertainment industry. By 2004, she already had appeared in number of theatre productions and adverts. She officially began her stand-up comedy in 2004. As a writer, Bridget has bestowed articles to various magazines like The Sunday Times, The Independent, The Guardian, The Times and The Observer. In Guardian Weekend, she has a regular weekend column. On July 2015 Bridget published her debut book, A Book for Her.
Christie in her career has also appeared in number of tv series and movies. Her television credit includes Have I Got News for You (BBC1), The Culture Show (BBC2), It's Kevin (BBC2), the Alternative Comedy Experience (Comedy Central), Celebrity Squares (ITV) and Cardinal Burns (Channel 4). She is best known for her appearance in Funny Women 2004 as a finalist. She is also known for Richard Herring's Leicester Square Theatre Podcast (2012) and The Alternative Comedy Experience (2013). Bridget Christie Minds the Gap was her debut BBC Radio 4 series which was related to feminism. This show of her was able to win Best Radio at the Chortle Awards 2014.
