Lisa Leslie was born on 7th July 1972 in Gardena, California. She is best known as a former professional basketball player. She is one of the famous players in America.

She was listed as Top 15 players in the professional career as well.

She was interested in basketball from her early age. Because of her height, she is perfect for this game. In school level, she played effectively from both boys and the girl’s team.

While in school, she had a dream to become a TV reporter. So, she does not practice much though she had already reached 6 feet 1 inch tall.

Later, she became very talented, and because of her skills, more than 100 colleges offered her to join them when she was only 14 years old. She was very athletic in her later years. She joined the volleyball team, was a state qualifier in 400-meter race as well as the high jump.

She chose the University of Southern Carolina for her further education. In her college life also, she gave the best performances in her matches. She has made many records while at college.

She is the graduate student with the degree of communication. She won the Rookie of the Year and National Freshman of the Year in 1991. She was also awarded National Player of the Year in 1994.

She started her professional career from 1997 from one of the successful team “Los Angeles Sparks.” Though they were very highly praised, they could not win the WNBA Title until 2001. 

In that same year, Leslie became the Sportswoman of the Year in WNBA. She has made many records in her career in WNBA. She is the first player to dunk the ball in WNBA.

She has also crossed the milestone of 9000 points altogether. She has the league records of 3307 rebounds and 10444 PRA. She also got Most Valuable Player three times in 2001, 2004 and 2006. She is the only player in WNBA history who has got 15 league records to herself.

She is one of the successful players in the US National Basketball Team as well. She has appeared in four Olympics Games and won all four gold medals. She has also made the records in national platform.

She is the leading scorer as well as rebounder of all time in the history of America. She is also the youngest player to be qualified for the Olympics Trials.

She is also an actress as well as a model. She has appeared in many commercials and TV shows. There is no record of her personal life such as her boyfriend, dating, and the affairs. She got married to Michael Lockwood in 2006.

The couple has got two children:  a son and a daughter. Their relationship is very sound, and both husband and wife are happily married till now. So, we will be surprised if there will be any divorce case between them.

Her popularity was heightened not only because of her performance but also from her hot and sexy legs. She is one of the richest players as well with the net worth of $5 million including an annual salary of $91 thousand.

As she has always been dedicated to her works, she was not ever been fired from any jobs. She retired from her professional career in 2009.
