Gerald Norman Jerry Springer, born on February 13, 1944, is a popular American television presenter as well as a former politician.

He is English-born American and is a former Democratic mayor of Cincinnati, Ohio. He has also been a news anchor, musician as well as an actor in his career.

He is best known for his talk show called The Jerry Springer Show. He is a very talented as well as hard working person and has gained a net worth of $45 million.

Jerry was born in London, England and was raised on Chandos Road, East Finchley. His mother Margot is a bank clerk and his father; Richard Springer is an owner of a shoe shop.

He is from a Jewish family who escaped from Germany and his grandmother named Marie Kallmann who was left behind died in the gas trucks of Chelmno extermination camp in Poland.

His grandfather, Selma Springer passed away in the hospital of Czech Republic. His grandfather’s brother, Dr. Hermann Elkeles also died in the same Theresienstadt concentration camp in the Czech Republic.

They emigrated to the United States of America in 1949 when he was five years old to Kew Gardens, Queens, New York. He went to Forest Hills High School and was raised in a small apartment with his sister named Evelyn.

He got inspired by John F. Kennedy in the Democratic convention in television and thought of being a politician.

He earned his B.A degree at Tulane University where he majored in political science and later earned a J.D. degree at Northwestern University in the year 1968.

He was elected the political campaign adviser to Robert F. Kennedy and later joined Cincinnati law firm of Frost & Jacobs after the assassination of Kennedy.

He worked for Congress took around 45% of the vote but failed to beat the Republican Donald D. Clancy. Later in the year 1971, he was elected to the Cincinnati city council which he resigned in 1974.

He was later in a police raid and admitted hiring a prostitute but was later told to be clean in a press conference. His political career came to an end for security reasons in 1975 after newsman; Al Schottelkotte pronounced his career was over.

He made his show debut in his show called The Jerry Springer Show in 1991. He has hosted man TV shows like America’s Got Talent, The Price is Right, WWE Raw and much more.

He has also appeared in many other episodes of different television show hosts. He has also appeared in many movies like Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, The Defender, etc.

He is currently the host of Baggage which is a show on The Game Show Network.
