Richard Cohen is an American journalist/syndicate columnist who works for The Washington Post. Having started his career by working at the United Press International, he joined Washington Post in 1968 and was appointed to be the chief correspondent in Maryland area. After covering many hot news and topics like the Iran- Iraq war and the resignation of Spiro Agnew, he also followed closely the scandals in the CIA, regarding the prosecution of Scooter Libby in 2007. Suggested to be a gay by the media, he hasn’t been married or divorced till now and certainly doesn’t have any kids. With a lot of his pictures available in the media, there is not a single one in which he has posed shirtless. Although his average salary is unknown; his estimated net worth value is about $4 million US dollars.
Richard was born into a middle class family, with his father being a reporter and her mother, a paralysis victim who died with it. Born as the eldest of two children, he is currently 74 years of age, and is believed to not have had a family or a wife. A good-looking person, with all white hair and beard, he used to be attractive in his younger days. With a height of 5 feet and 10 inches, he is not the tallest of man, but would surely look longer due to hi slim figure, and long legs. He was born on the 6th of February, 1941 and was raised in his house in New York, United States of America. As a child, he studied at Far Rockaway High School where there is no record of him having any girlfriends. Then he graduated and got into Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism with a dream to become a journalist, better than his father. He also graduated from Hunter College and also took classes at the New York University, which was a little later in his career. With minor health problems that he has been facing from some time now, there is no news of him being dead, despite rumors. You can find out more about his life and career by reading his biography in Wikipedia.
He has been involved in a couple of disputes and issues in his career. One was when he tried to sexually handle his co-worker Devon Spurgeon, who was of black ethnicity. It was believed that Richard after asking Devon about casual sex, asked her to "stand up and turn around", and it was believed that he made her mouth shut for almost three weeks and used to have sex with her. As he was not married and didn’t have any children, this news came out very late in the media. Although he was found guilty for "inappropriate behavior", it was cleared that there had been no sexual harassments inside the office. He also made comments on the insecurity that came with black people, for which his column and the Washington Post had to publically apologize. He also made very discrete comments based on the color of skin, which was the content of a movie “12 years a Slave”. Although he believed that slavery was very wrong and violent, still he seemed to speak on the part of those slave owners, which were white Americans, and this raised a racial stir in the media. Being a columnist, these kinds of behaviors would often make him in a very dangerous position, although he has managed to stay alive till date. His popularity amongst the people has been high, especially after he appeared in many TV shows and apologized publically. He also has got large fan following on his Twitter and Instagram accounts.
