From his hard work on his acting, he has won many prestigious awards as well. From the TV series “The Secret Life of Us,” he has won AACTA Award for Best Lead Actor in a Television Drama.

He has got Melbourne Underground Film Festival Award for Best Actor from the movie “Acolytes” in 2008. He has also won Film Critics Circle of Australia Award for Best Supporting Actor from the movies the Animal Kingdom and The Waiting City.

Lately, he has won AACTA International Award for Best Actor in Supporting Role from the movie “The Great Gatsby.”

As he has always been cautious about his personal life, he has never disclosed about his girlfriends, dating, and affairs. Though he has already reached the age of 42, he has not thought about being married till now.

Many believe that he is a gay which is also not disclosed by him. He wants his wife to be supportive, and he is always afraid of getting a divorce as well. He is a tall guy with the height of 5 feet 11 inch.
