Chris Isaak is an American actor and rock musician. He was born on June 26, 1956, and his current age is 60. The youngest among his three brothers, he is from Stockton, California. His mother, Dorothy worked in a potato chip factory and his father, Joe Isaak, was a forklift driver. Chris gained his mixed ethnicity from his German Catholic mother and Italian-American father.

Isaak attended Amos Alonzo Stagg School in North Stockton and graduated in the year, 1974. He, then, attended a local college, San Joaquin Delta College, before transferring to the University of Pacific. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in communications in 1981. Music was Chris’s fascination. He borrowed a guitar from his brother and taught himself to play. He had already started writing songs as a teenager. He found early inspiration from country musician, Hank Williams, who his father liked to listen to on the radio.

Chris started out as a solo artist, but in the early 1980s, he formed a rockabilly-influenced group called Silvertone. Their early days were quite challenging as Isaak and the group had to play bar to bar and club to club to make their name.

Isaak caught the attention of producer, Eric Jacobson, best known for his work in the '60s with Lovin' Spoonful, Tim Harding, and Norman Greenbaum. With Jacob's help, Isaak scored a recording contract with Warner Bros. Records. Isaak introduced his debut album 'Silvertone' in 1985, which got critically praised, earned raves reviews and became a major hit in some international markets.

Isaak, along with his band members, established a reputation as a crowd-pleasing live performer. The singer's sophomore effort, single album 'Chris Isaak' was certified gold in the United States and became a substantial hit overseas once again. He made world tours. Around that time, he got the chance to meet various popular artists and one of his influences, the legendary Roy Orbison.
