David Muir, born on November 8, 1973, is an Emmy award-winning TV journalist and an anchor at ABC News. He is the anchor of ABC World News Tonight and ABC news magazine. He has won multiple Emmy Awards and an Edward R. Murrow award for his work at ABC News both in the United States and overseas.

David was born in Syracuse, New York. He grew up in a hamlet west of Syracuse named Onondaga Hill. In 1991, Muir graduated from Onondaga Junior-Senior High School and attended Park School of Broadcasting at Ithaca College in New York.
