The gorgeous and talented Jodi Applegate is an American broadcast journalist. She has worked as an anchorman for MSNBC and NBC News as well as other local stations.

Jodi was born on May 2, 1964, as Jodi Applegate in Wheeling, West Virginia. She belongs to American nationality and is of white ethnicity. She was raised in Moon Township, Pennsylvania with her family.

Since her early age, she was interested in journalism and wanted to be a journalist.  Her family has always been supportive of her since her childhood.

She attended Moon Area High School. After her high school, she attended Temple University in Philadelphia. She later transferred to New York University as a sophomore, from where she graduated with a degree in television and film.

After she had completed her education, she worked as an actress in television shows. She acted in the television version of A Pocket for Corduroy in 1986, and There’s Nightmare in My Closet in 1987.

Later, in the early 1990s, she began to work as the host for the program Close Up on C-Span.  Then she collaborated with KTVK in Phoenix hosting the show Good Morning Arizona. After that, she served at Metro traffic as a radio and television traffic reporter in San Francisco.

During the MSNBC launch, Applegate was the first face seen in 1996. She hosted the show Later Today with Florence Henderson and Asha Blake in late 1999. Applegate was later associated with the WFXT in Boston in the mid-2001. For a year she anchored the FOX 25 Morning News from September 2003 to October 2004 then she moved on to New York sister station WNYW.

In 2005, she started her job as a co-anchor in the WNYW for the show Good Day New York. Being associated with the WNYW station for three years, she then left the station.

In 2012, she played an actress in the movie The Bourne Legacy.

She is a hard working lady and has become a renowned journalist in America. She is well paid by her employers and has a good salary. She has a total net worth of $5 million dollars from her hard work.

Talking about her personal life, she is a married woman. She is married to her husband, New York Yankees television broadcaster Michael Kay. They got married in New York City at Plaza Hotel on 12 February 2011.  

The couple is blessed with one child. The couple announced that Applegate was pregnant and was expecting a baby. She gave birth to her daughter Caledonia Rose on January 5, 2013.

Along with being a real journalist, she is also a good wife and a good mother. No matter how busy she is, she always has time for her family. She is living a happy life with her family. The couple is a good match, and they love each other equally along with their daughter. There is no word of divorce in their life, and we hope it never comes.
